With the 2024 NFL Draft just days away, renowned draft analyst Chad Reuter of NFL.com has released his first and only seven-round mock draft of the year. In his comprehensive analysis, Reuter predicts a flurry of first-round trades, with the Indianapolis Colts and Kansas City Chiefs both making bold moves to acquire offensive playmakers.

According to Reuter's mock draft, the Colts, currently holding the fourth overall pick, would trade up to the second spot to select Heisman Trophy-winning quarterback C.J. Stroud from Ohio State. The Chiefs, looking to replace long-time starter Patrick Mahomes, would move up from the 11th pick to the third spot for Alabama quarterback Bryce Young.

Other notable first-round projections include the Arizona Cardinals selecting Pittsburgh quarterback Kedon Slovis with the fifth pick, the Tennessee Titans drafting Texas A&M edge rusher Shemar Stewart at seventh, and the Philadelphia Eagles trading up to the ninth spot for Georgia offensive tackle Broderick Jones.

Reuter also predicts that 11 quarterbacks will be selected in the first two rounds, a record number in recent years. Among the top quarterback prospects, he projects North Carolina's Drake Maye going 14th overall to the Carolina Panthers, Florida's Anthony Richardson to the Indianapolis Colts at 21st, and LSU's Jayden Daniels to the Minnesota Vikings at 31st.

In addition to his first-round projections, Reuter provides a comprehensive analysis of the entire seven-round draft, covering all 257 potential picks. His mock draft offers valuable insights into potential draft scenarios and player evaluations ahead of the NFL's annual player selection event.
